These terms are between you and Ebenezer Labs LLC, Pennsylvania, United States. By using Tiptoe, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions can go to support@ebenezerlabs.ai.
1. What Tiptoe does—and does not do
Tiptoe helps you track development, keep observations and photos, explore milestone context and prepare questions for your pediatrician. It is a journal and educational reference, not medical advice, screening, diagnosis or treatment. It is never a substitute for a pediatrician.
Children develop at different paces. Milestone windows and reference information are not deadlines or a diagnosis for your child. Do not delay professional care because of something in Tiptoe. Contact a qualified healthcare professional about developmental or health concerns, and local emergency services for an emergency.
2. Adult accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally an adult where you live to hold an account. You must be a parent or caregiver authorized to manage the child's information. Children may not create or manage accounts. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
A Tiptoe account is optional; account-free use keeps your record on your iPhone. This does not mean access to all app features is free. Subscription requirements are shown during setup.
3. Your content and sharing choices
You keep ownership of the notes, photos and other content you add. You give us permission to store, process, display, sync, export and delete that content only as needed to provide and protect Tiptoe in line with your choices and our Privacy Policy. This does not give us permission to sell your child's information or use it in advertising.
Only upload information and images you have permission to use. Family is a local view of saved records and appointment notes; it does not send invitations or share data with other people. You control any cards or files you export and share yourself; recipients may keep their own copies.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Tiptoe to break the law, violate someone's rights, upload unlawful or malicious content, access another person's information without permission, bypass security, or disrupt the service. Do not present Tiptoe's output as professional medical advice. You may not copy or resell our software or content except as allowed by these terms, applicable third-party licenses or law.
5. Subscriptions, trials and Apple billing
US Premium pricing is $39.99 per year or $9.99 per month. The annual plan offers a seven-day free trial for eligible subscribers; the monthly plan does not include that trial. Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility. Prices and available offers can differ by country. The local price, billing period and offer shown by Apple before you confirm are the terms of your purchase.
- Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase, or when an eligible free trial ends. After the annual trial, the annual subscription price applies unless you cancel in time.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period unless canceled. Cancel at least 24 hours before a trial or current subscription period ends to avoid the next charge. Apple may charge for renewal during the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Tiptoe. Deleting the app or your Tiptoe account does not cancel your subscription. Apple shows when access ends after cancellation; free-trial access may end immediately.
- For an existing subscription, use Restore Purchases in Tiptoe with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Access depends on Apple verifying an active entitlement.
- Request App Store refunds through Apple's refund service. Apple handles billing and decides eligibility under its policies and applicable law. We cannot issue an App Store refund directly. Nothing here removes any refund or other consumer right you have by law.
Any price change will follow Apple's notice and consent requirements. Review the price and renewal information before confirming a purchase; a trial is a subscription offer, not a permanent free plan.
6. Our work and research sources
Ebenezer Labs owns Tiptoe's original software, design, writing and branding. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive right to use the app under these terms and Apple's applicable rules. Third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and licenses.
Tiptoe uses material from the Caregiver Reported Early Development Instruments (CREDI), an open-source instrument developed by researchers at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and collaborators. CREDI was designed for population-level measurement, not individual screening or diagnosis. Tiptoe is an independent product, not an official Harvard or CREDI app, and is not endorsed by them. Tiptoe's translations of CREDI material are unofficial and are not represented as validated CREDI translations.
7. Privacy, export and account deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains information handling, retention and your rights. Use Today → profile → Your data for export and deletion controls. Signed-in account deletion requests cloud cleanup; clearing local data alone does not delete your cloud account. Private-file and sign-in-account cleanup may remain pending after the device record is cleared. Contact us for help or completion confirmation.
8. Availability and ending use
You can stop using Tiptoe at any time, export your record and request account deletion. Cancel any subscription separately through Apple. We may change features or suspend or end access to address serious misuse, security risks or legal requirements. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give notice and a chance to export your information. Urgent safety or security issues may require immediate action.
We do not promise uninterrupted service or that every part of your device record is backed up in the cloud. Keep copies of information important to you. Ending access does not remove your privacy rights or any consumer remedy required by law.
9. Disclaimers and limits on liability
We work to make Tiptoe useful and reliable, but provide it as available, without a promise that it will be error-free, always available or suitable for every purpose. Educational content may be incomplete, out of date or not applicable to your child. These limits apply only where the law allows; any warranties or service standards that cannot legally be excluded still apply.
Where the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or losses we could not reasonably foresee. Our total liability for claims arising from your use of Tiptoe is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid for Tiptoe in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that the law does not allow us to limit. They do not take away mandatory consumer or privacy rights.
10. Resolving problems and governing law
Please contact support@ebenezerlabs.ai first, explain the problem and tell us what resolution you are seeking. We will try to resolve it with you. This request does not prevent you from seeking urgent relief, meeting a legal deadline or contacting a regulator.
Pennsylvania law governs these terms, except where the mandatory laws of your home jurisdiction give you protections that cannot be waived. You retain any right to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law. These terms do not require arbitration or waive participation in a class action. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
11. Changes and contact
We will post updates here with a new effective date and give reasonable notice of significant changes in the app or by email where appropriate. Changes apply going forward, not retroactively to an existing dispute. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it. If you do not agree to updated terms, you can stop using Tiptoe and cancel future renewals through Apple.
